— Feather River College men’s soccer opened Golden Valley Conference play with an 8–0 victory at College of the Siskiyous on Friday, September 25. Both Golden Eagles soccer teams return home Tuesday for a doubleheader. (September 29th)
Tim Van Lottum (Brumen, Netherlands) scored four goals and added an assist. Yaphet Daryl Assafuah (Coventry, England) opened the scoring in the 15th minute, and FRC led 2–0 at halftime. The Golden Eagles added six goals after the break, including Van Lottum’s four. Pablo Guevara-Mangas (Irun, Spain) recorded three assists, while goalkeeper Liam Keeble (South Woodham Ferrers, England) made six saves in the shutout.
On Tuesday, September 29, the FRC men host Modesto at 1:30 p.m., followed by the women against Truckee Meadows Community College at 4:00 p.m. Both matches are at Feather River College.
