Feather River College soccer enjoyed a perfect afternoon at home Friday, September 18, as the Golden Eagle women and men each recorded a 3–0 victory over Yuba College.
Women’s Soccer
The Golden Eagle women opened the doubleheader with a balanced offensive performance and a strong defensive effort.
Olivia Cortez put Feather River ahead in the 33rd minute, finishing an opportunity created by Carmen Damian. The Golden Eagles carried the 1–0 advantage into halftime before adding two more goals in the second half.
Eve Jackson doubled the lead in the 63rd minute following an assist from Saydi Reyes. Caitlin Farrel completed the scoring in the 77th minute, with Damian collecting her second assist of the match.
Goalkeeper Flor Lopez made nine saves as Feather River kept Yuba off the scoreboard.
Men’s Soccer
The Feather River men followed with another 3–0 result, scoring all three goals during a decisive 12-minute stretch in the first half.
Pablo Guevara-Mangas opened the scoring in the 21st minute by converting a penalty kick. Ten minutes later, Daan Los scored from an assist by Charlie Cushion to extend the lead to 2–0.
Cushion created another goal just two minutes later, providing the assist on Carter Cippilone’s strike in the 33rd minute.
Goalkeeper Liam Keeble stopped all four shots on goal as the Golden Eagles completed the shutout. The victory improved Feather River’s record to 2-2-2.

Both teams return to action Tuesday, September 22, at American River College. The women’s match is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., followed by the men at 6:00 p.m.
