September 17, 2026 — The Susanville City Council convened for its regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Council Chambers on North Lassen Street to address municipal business, evaluate key personnel developments, and approve ongoing operational expenses.
The session opened with an executive closed session at 4:30 PM focused on city administrative leadership under California Government Code §54957. During the session, council members received progress updates regarding the active recruitment process for a permanent City Manager. Additionally, the Council conducted a formal performance evaluation of Acting City Manager and Finance Director Chandra Jabbs.
During the open public business portion of the agenda, the Council voted to approve and accept regular financial disbursements for municipal operations, presented by Acting City Manager Jabbs:

Accounts Payable: Approved warrants totaling $450,805.97 covering city vendor and operational expenses incurred between August 13 and September 2, 2026.

Payroll & Secondary Accounts: Accepted secondary account disbursements and payroll warrants amounting to $673,224.69.
In routine business, the Council formally approved and filed the official meeting minutes from both the August 31, 2026 special meeting and the September 2, 2026 regular meeting.
