The Peninsula Fire Protection District added a Type 3 Wildland Fire Engine to its fleet. This engine suits rural and forest areas. It helps crews reach fires in tight or remote spots where standard engines cannot go.
Chief Kyle Heggstrom of the Linda Fire Department played a key role in this acquisition. Chief Robert Gray and Captain Troy Carter from Peninsula Fire also helped secure the new engine. Captain Ryland Arbuckle and B shift handled outfitting the vehicle. Nicholas McBride of LASCO Sign & Screen printing in Susanville took care of the decals.
