The Office of Assemblywoman Heather Hadwick reports it presented the Shaping the Future Award to Plumas Rural Services.
Since 1980, Plumas Rural Services has empowered families and strengthened communities by providing compassionate human services throughout Northeastern California, said Hadwick’s team: “From family support and nutrition programs to domestic violence services, disability advocacy, workforce development and housing initiatives, PRS continues to improve the quality of life for residents across the region.”
Hadwick said she selected Plumas Rural Services for the Shaping the Future Award because of its enduring commitment to building healthier, stronger and more self-sufficient rural communities.
Plumas Rural Services joined a range of individuals, businesses, nonprofits and public servants receiving 1st Assembly District awards in July.
“Whether they are mentoring the next generation, protecting public safety, supporting families in need, preserving our rural heritage or helping local businesses thrive, these award recipients represent the very best of the North State,” said Hadwick. “Their dedication, compassion and commitment to serving others make our communities stronger every day.”
