As the 2026 Plumas-Sierra County Fair comes to a close, Fair Director Katie expressed her appreciation to the volunteers, vendors, exhibitors, sponsors, and community members who helped make this year’s event a success.
In a message shared by the fair, Katie thanked the many volunteers whose efforts behind the scenes helped bring the four-day event together, as well as vendors who filled the fairgrounds with food and shopping opportunities and the carnival company that provided rides and entertainment.
She also recognized livestock exhibitors and their families, praising the quality of this year’s animals and the months of dedication that went into preparing them for the fair. Local gardeners were also acknowledged for their displays, which helped showcase the fairgrounds at their best.
Katie said seeing families create memories, children enjoying the fair, and neighbors reconnecting reminded her that the Plumas-Sierra County Fair is about more than four days of entertainment—it’s a celebration of community, agriculture, and local tradition.
The 2026 fair marked Katie’s first year serving as Fair Director. She said she is grateful for the community’s support and is already looking forward to building on this year’s success when the fair returns in 2027.
