Residents of the Eagle Lake area are being invited to a community meeting this weekend to discuss a recent increase in thefts and property break-ins and explore ways to improve neighborhood safety.
According to a post shared on the Eagle Lake Community Facebook page, the meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 1, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Stones-Bengard Community Services District building.
Organizers say the meeting is intended to bring residents together to discuss recent incidents and identify steps the community can take to help prevent future thefts and break-ins.
They are also working to coordinate with the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office in hopes that the area’s patrol deputy will be able to attend the meeting and answer questions from residents.
Community members who are able to attend are encouraged to participate in the discussion.
