A driver involved in a hit-and-run crash in Susanville has been located after a pickup truck struck a parked trailer Thursday evening.
The collision was reported around 8:30 p.m. July 9 near Third and Hall streets. According to community reports, multiple witnesses saw the crash and shared information online in an effort to help identify the vehicle involved.
The silver truck reportedly crashed into the back of a parked trailer, causing significant damage and tearing open the side of the trailer. The trailer’s owner shared they had recently moved it onto the street while preparing to transport it to a cabin.
Community members’ reports helped provide information about the vehicle, and the truck was later located.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the driver or whether any citations or charges were issued. The incident remains under investigation.
