There’s no longer a need to limit water use in Susanville.
The City announced Wednesday that enough repairs have been completed on Well 3 to allow the community to return to normal water use. With water storage levels back in a stable position, the City has officially lifted its recent request for residents and businesses to voluntarily conserve water.
That means homeowners can resume their regular outdoor irrigation and watering schedules.
City officials say they will continue monitoring water storage levels and the overall condition of the system as operations return to normal. Although the immediate concern has passed, they’re encouraging everyone to continue using water wisely.
The City recommends avoiding irrigation runoff onto sidewalks and streets, adjusting watering schedules to match current conditions, and checking for leaks that could waste water.
Officials also thanked the community for stepping up during the conservation request, saying residents’ efforts played an important role in helping maintain the water system while crews completed critical repairs to Well 3.
The City says continuing to use water responsibly will help protect Susanville’s water resources and ensure the system remains reliable for everyone.
