This year’s Paul Bunyan Mountain & Blues Festival Parade won’t have just one Grand Marshal—it could have dozens. Parade organizers are inviting all veterans and active-duty military members to lead this year’s parade in recognition of their service.
As a thank-you for their service to the nation, veterans and active-duty service members are invited to ride together on the designated Grand Marshal float. Participants are asked to arrive by 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, ahead of the parade’s 10:30 a.m. start. You may also call the Chamber at 530-256-2456 and leave a message or drop by the Visitor Center on Friday or Saturday between 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.
The tribute also recognizes 250 years of America’s military service, with this year’s parade theme, “Red, White and Blue for 250 Years.”
The Paul Bunyan Mountain & Blues Festival will be held July 11 and 12 in Chester, featuring the parade, live blues music, vendors, food, and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.
