Nevada State Fair Returns to Reno

The Nevada State Fair will return to the Nevada State Fairgrounds in Reno from June 11 to 13, 2026. This marks the first official fair since 2010.

The event will include the Nevada Junior Livestock Show, the University of Nevada, Reno Extension’s 4-H State Expo, the Nevada Governor’s Sale of Champions, a farmers’ market pavilion, and Next Generation Junior Bull Riding.

The Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) now manages the fairgrounds again after Assembly Bill 333 passed during the last legislative session. This law returned the State Fairgrounds, including the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center and the Reno Rodeo Arena, to the NDA as originally intended in 1867.

The NDA Director, J.J. Goicoechea, said the department aims to create a fair that honors Nevada’s agricultural history and diverse communities. The State Fair ran from 1874 until 2010, when it was dissolved.
