Plumas County invites you to join the 79th annual Plumas-Sierra County Fair parade on Saturday, July 25, starting at 10 a.m. in downtown Quincy.
This year’s theme, “The Best of America – 250 Years,” highlights America’s 250th anniversary. Participants will showcase the people, traditions, history, and innovations that shape the nation.
The parade is organized by the Plumas-Sierra County Fair Foundation, Plumas-Sierra County Fair, Quincy Chamber of Commerce, and local volunteers. They welcome entries from businesses, schools, clubs, families, musicians, vehicle enthusiasts, equestrian groups, and agricultural operations.
You can enter floats, bands, novelty acts, motor vehicles, horse entries, or machinery. This variety gives you many ways to display your creativity and community pride.
To participate, submit your completed entry form, hold harmless agreement, and $20 entry fee by Friday, July 17. You can find applications online at quincychamber.com/parade or in person at The Quincy Hub, 493 Main St. Ribbons will be given in several categories.
Organizers encourage participation from Quincy, Chester, Portola, Greenville, Graeagle, Beckwourth, Meadow Valley, Loyalton, Downieville, Sierra Brooks, Cromberg, Calpine, and nearby areas.
