The Plumas County Elections Office reminds local voters that Election Day is Tuesday, June 2, and multiple options are available for returning ballots.
The elections office is located in Room 102 at the Plumas County Courthouse, 520 Main St. in Quincy. Residents can contact the office at any time with questions concerning voter registration and/or the election process via 530-283-6256 or [email protected].
New laws are in place that state the elections office must be open on the Saturday prior to the June 2 primary election, said elections personnel. Thus, the Plumas County Elections Office will be open this Saturday, May 30, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. During that time, residents can obtain a replacement ballot if needed, return their voted ballot in the blue return envelope or conditionally register to vote.
The ballot return box in front of the courthouse is available for ballot return 24 hours a day, until 8 p.m. on election night June 2.
