The Lassen Sheriff Department has issued the following statement.
On 4-24-26, Brian Anderson was reported missing to the Susanville Police Department. On 4-25-26, an Reporting Party called dispatch saying they found Mr. Anderson’s vehicle off of highway 36 on Goumaz Rd. When Deputies arrived on scene, they found Mr. Anderson deceased inside of his vehicle. This case is still under investigation and awaiting autopsy results. There is no threat to the public at this time.
