Plumas Pines Resort announced Jared, the new Marina & Facilities Manager!
After retiring from LA County Parks & Recreation as a safety inspector, Jared moved up to the Almanor area full-time in 2015. Although he has been vacationing at Lake Almanor for decades, he now calls the area home and hopes to eventually homestead near Greenville while continuing his Electrical Engineering studies at Chico State during the off-season.
A true jack of all trades, Jared brings a wide range of mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills. In his free time, he enjoys building circuit boards, 3D printing parts for his drones, and fishing from his kayak on Lake Almanor. Jared has also worked as a boat mechanic at Little Norway and has a passion for horticulture, which is something he looks forward to bringing to Plumas Pines Resort.
Jared is eager to make Plumas Pines Resort his home. He plans to refresh the Marina Store with a new paint job, revitalize the gardens around the resort, and improve safety and accessibility throughout the property. The project he is looking forward to most is “sinking” the new wave initiators (buoys) to better absorb energy and further protect the boats from waves coming in via the courtesy dock.
