Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship reports its Yuba Expeditions mountain bike shuttle service starts for the season Friday, April 17, and the calendar is now open for booking.

Mount Hough shuttles will run Friday through Monday throughout the season. Riders can book a single ride to the summit for $40, or receive $5 off a Double Down if booked by May 1. Private customizable shuttles and guided adventure tours are also open for booking.

Organizers say that from the summit riders can head down

  • Indian Falls Ridge/Acorn Grotto, the new Tollgate top-to-bottom, which incorporates swooping berms, fun rock rolls and new “lift and tilt” rollers, thanks to funding from the Shimano Trail Born grant
  • A descent into Taylorsville on the new QTC connector
  • The original old-school Mount Hough Trail, with “guaranteed grins”

SBTS points out there are many other ways to get creative and link up routes, with more than 70 miles of intermediate and advanced singletrack developed on Hough over the past decade by its pro trail crew, in partnership with the Plumas National Forest.

“Every seat booked benefits the trails by supporting the work of SBTS trail crews,” says the nonprofit.
