Feather River College Athletics announces that the Golden Eagles won two games against San Jose City College March 13.
Sophomore Nina Taylor went 2-2 at the plate with two RBIs in the Golden Eagles’ 6-4 Game 2 win. Talynn Madrid matched Taylor with an identical 2-2 and two RBI performance. A trio of pitchers for Feather River held San Jose to just four runs.
In Game 1, Brittney Byram held San Jose to just three runs as the Golden Eagles cruised to a 7-3 win. Sophomore Lily Lee went 2-4 with two RBIs. Sophomore McKynlee Gay, of Quincy, finished the day with a pair of hits and a pair of runs.
The Golden Eagles play next at Butte, Friday, March 20, with game times of noon and 2 p.m.
