Pike City Power Outage Update 12:50 PM 2/14/26:

PG&E has provided the following update regarding the ongoing outage related to the Colgate Powerhouse incident.

PG&E crews continue working toward restoration, with an estimated restoration time of approximately 11:30 p.m. tonight. Due to the complexity of the repairs, restoration is taking longer than usual. Temporary generation is being deployed, which requires additional time to safely connect and operate.

To assist impacted residents:

Opening today by 3:00 p.m.

This location will provide a warm, safe place to charge devices and obtain outage information.

Grab & Go Bags – Pike City Firestation 4 PM – 8 PM

Grab and Go bags will be available and include a small battery pack for charging devices and a light blanket.

Due to the Colgate Powerhouse penstock incident, the Pike City area is currently without power.

In coordination with PG&E and Sierra County OES, Pike City Fire personnel will be at the Pike City Fire Station today from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM providing supplies to residents impacted by the outage.

Supplies include:
• Cell phone chargers
• Power banks
• Blankets
• Bottled water

Additionally, PG&E will be setting up a Community Resource Center (CRC) in Camptonville to provide supplies to residents in both Sierra and Yuba Counties affected by the outage.
