California is investing in salmon recovery

CDFW has awarded $10M+ to 16 projects statewide to restore and protect salmon and steelhead habitat in critical watersheds.

This effort is part of Governor Newsom’s California Salmon Strategy, a science-based plan to rebuild salmon populations, strengthen ecosystems, and support communities that depend on healthy rivers.

And we’re not stopping here—another funding opportunity is coming in 2026.
