Lassen County Sheriff issued the following press release;
On Friday, January 16, 2026 at approximately 10:36 AM the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a report of shots heard in the vicinity of the Johnstonville Elementary School at 704- 795 Bangham Ln. A Lassen County Sheriff Patrol Unit was in the area at the time of the call. A canvas of the area for additional information occurred. No additional information was found after speaking with several members of the public in the area.
