Janesville Fire Protection District responded to a structure fire on January 15, 2026 at 4:09 pm on Silent Oak Lane in Janesville.
Upon arrival they found a fully involved detached garage on fire with 2 vehicles and a travel trailer. The fire was contained to the garage and vehicles only. The garage was a total loss.
Occupants had been evacuated from the residence.
The following agencies assisted Janesville in the fire suppression efforts:
Sierra Army Depot 1900, CalFire, Milford Fire, US Forest Service, Correctional Center Fire, Susan River Fire, Lassen County Sheriff’s, and CHP.
The cause of the fire is undetermined.
