California’s Department of Fish and Wildlife’s SHARE Program is now offering waterfowl hunting at two new properties in Colusa County and pig hunts in Nevada County. Harbison Ranch will offer three blinds in flooded rice fields on 160 acres and Kemp Farms will offer one blind in a flooded rice field on 114 acres in Colusa County. Each hunt blind fits four people. One permit will be drawn for each hunt. Successful applicants will be permitted to bring up to three hunters or non-hunting partners. Hunting opportunities will be available on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays as well as both youth and veteran and active military hunt days.

The Garden Bar Preserve in Nevada County is offering two new pig hunts on 640 acres of oak woodland and grassland in Nevada County in January and February. Hunters will be allowed to camp on the property and bring one hunting or non-hunt partner. The property is 23 miles south of Grass Valley. A $13.75 non-refundable application fee (plus handling fees) is charged for each hunt choice.
