Sierra Nevada Journeys announces that its 2026 overnight summer camp registration is set to open at noon tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 9. This summer marks the nonprofit’s 18th year offering summer camp at its outdoor education facility located near Portola.
Organizers point out that loyal customers can receive exclusive offers, and that customers can save $100 by booking before March 1, 2026.
“Your child or teen will have a summer to remember,” promise organizers. “The camp is a fun-filled place where they can push boundaries and explore their potential. It’s not just a summer getaway; it’s a treasure chest of experiences that could shape their future.”
Kayaking, hiking, swimming, arts and crafts, group games and campfire singalongs are just a few of the activities staff have lined up. The Sierra Nevada Journeys challenge course, complete with more than 40 elements, builds confidence, say organizers. Through the challenge-by-choice model, the course can lead up to the facility’s high ropes, including the fan-favorite alpine tower.
