The Lassen County Chamber of Commerce would like to share an important community reminder from the Susanville Police Department regarding road closures and safety measures for the 2025 Magical Country Christmas celebration.
Main Street (State Route 36) will be closed on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from approximately 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This closure will span Cottage Street to Weatherlow Street. Please follow all posted detour routes and signage during this time.
The Magical Country Christmas festivities will run from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and we can’t wait to celebrate with our community!
Because of a new fireworks launch location and updated permit safety requirements, the highlighted section shown on the event map will be off-limits to the public for the duration of the event.
Please note:
• No pedestrians will be allowed inside the restricted zone.
• After the fireworks show, no one will be permitted to cross the barricades until the launch site has cooled and can be safely cleared.
These safety measures are required to ensure the well-being of all attendees. We kindly ask that everyone respect barricades, signs, and the instructions of event staff and safety personnel.
