Press Release from the The California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Law Enforcement Division stated that it will be holding a fish and wildlife checkpoint on November 30, 2025, at the Long Valley Agricultural inspection station Highway 395, 3 miles South of Hallelujah Junction (Hwy 395 and Hwy70) in Lassen County.

This checkpoint will screen hunters and anglers who are entering California. The checkpoint coincides with several out of state closing weekends. It will also screen incoming harvest from out of state for chronic wasting disease and aquatic invasive invertebrates on incoming vessels.

Fish and wildlife checkpoints are a useful method designed to educate the public about laws, regulations, and resource conditions. Checkpoints are also used for detection of resource related violations.

The November 30th checkpoint is scheduled from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
