The new Lost and Found Gravel routes are here for 2026, with more dirt, a better finish and singletrack! All three routes will now a stretch of the SBTS-built singletrack Lake Davis Trail (if you’ve participated in the Friday Shakeout Ride in recent years, you’ll know it—super fun, flowy and fast & perfect for gravel bikes). We’ll also use parts of the Beckwourth-Gennessee Road to add in beautiful riding around Lake Davis (big thanks to our longstanding partners U.S. Forest Service-Plumas National Forest, Beckwourth Ranger District, the city of Portola and Plumas County Roads Department for the close work on the new routes!). Otherwise, you can expect the usual mix of smooth, fast gravel to chunky Lost Sierra dirt roads—and the race will feature a brand-new finish to cut out the final headwind-filled, pavement miles. The distances are the roughly same: 99, 58 and 40 miles, with a slightly less elevation gain from last year and more dirt. The Full Bull is 84% dirt, the Mid Moo is 70% and the Half Calf is 60%, so plan your set-up accordingly.
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION IS OPEN until 12/31, offering a 10 % discount on the entry fee and a new race cancellation policy. Find all the race and route details at lostandfoundbikeride.com, and we’ll see you next June 13th in Portola for another epically beautiful weekend in the Lost Sierra! Lost & Found is part of the Gravel EARTH Series in 2026.
