UC Cooperative Extension is joining Sierra County Supervisor Dryden and Sheriff Fisher to host a small livestock seminar in Loyalton. This event is designed for livestock producers of all sizes and ages! This FREE event will be held on November 18 at the Loyalton Elementary School.

This informative evening will feature presentations on essential predator topics for livestock producers, including:
Annie Tipton, Sierraville rancher, perspective on raising cattle, horses, goats, and children among wolves
Libby Ehlers, California Department of Fish and Wildlife – Wildlife & Livestock Interactions
Crystal Emsoff, Chilcoot rancher, perspective on using guard dogs and other tools to protect livestock from predators
“This educational event will provide practical knowledge to help local livestock producers,” states Tracy Schohr, University of California Cooperative Extension Livestock and Natural Resources Advisor. “This session is designed for livestock producers who are just starting out or managing a long-standing operation, including 4-H and FFA members.”
