LMUD Working to Restore Power

As of 6:00 PM: LMUD crews continue to work through the night to complete repairs on our damaged system. The lines that serve our Spaulding/Eagle Lake customers sustained extensive damage – we estimate that these repairs will take another 12 hours to complete. The damage to our facilities serving customers in the Mill Street area in Uptown Susanville was also severe. Repairs to restore power continue and are expected to be completed sometime around 4:00 a.m tomorrow morning. The damage to our facilities is wide-spread, we have a list of outages and we are working to address and repair each one. Our customer service line, 530-257-4174, is manned 24/7, you can call to report outages around the clock.

3:30 PM: As the day goes on, crews are still working on repairing the extensive damage that occurred during last night’s windstorm. Currently, over a dozen separate active outages are affecting thousands of customers. Our crews have worked non-stop throughout the day restoring power to as many customers as possible. We will continue to provide updates until power has been restored to all customers. Our office will close at 4:30 p.m. this afternoon; however, our customer service line is staffed 24/7. We welcome your calls and will provide you with the most up-to-date information available. Text alerts will be sent when there is a significant update and when all customers have been restored. Again, we thank you for your patience and understanding.

11:30 AM: Our crews are still responding to numerous outages throughout our service territory. We are repairing damaged poles and wires as quickly and safely as possible. The most extensive damage is to our Eagle Lake line, affecting approximately 500 customers. Westwood is also experiencing extensive outages. Please be patient and rest assured, we are dispatching crews as quickly as possible. To report a downed line or an outage, please call us at 530-257-4174.

9:00 AM: Crews continue to respond to reports of outages, downed lines, and trees. As of 9:00 a.m., we estimate that approximately 1,800 customers are without power, including those in Spaulding/Eagle Lake, parts of Westwood, and customers on Mill Street in Susanville, as well as those on Hwy 36. If you see a downed line or tree in the lines, please use extreme caution! Do not attempt to move the line or the tree. Call LMUD at 530-257-4174 and we will respond as quickly as possible. We will update this post as more information becomes available.
