Golden Eagles Dominate Contra Costa College to Lead Conference with 7-1 Record

Feather River College Athletics announces that the 7-1 Golden Eagles football team is at the top of conference standings with an Oct. 25 70-20 win over Contra Costa College.

Sophomore wide receiver Kyle Valdez recorded his fifth receiving touchdown of the season, the ninth of his career, as the Golden Eagles scored 49 first-half points. Daniel Cable scored two touchdowns on just four carries, over 76 yards, with teammate Akhir Harris scoring on a fumble recovery. Marco Casci and Carlos Lopez each had interceptions on the afternoon.

The Golden Eagles will play Chabot College next, at Mt. Eden High School in Hayward on Saturday, Nov. 1. Game time is 1 p.m.
