In the recent past, the Lassen Humane Society has funded its operations through grants and inheritance money. Those days are over, and now the society must take its fundraising activities back to the community.
If you’ve got some unneeded or unwanted items in your garage or stuff cluttering up your house that someone in the community might find useful, consider donating them to the Lassen Humane Society for its October garage sale.
Items will be accepted (all donations will be approved before accepted) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday Oct. 4 and 5 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday Oct. 11 and 12 at Sierra Desert Properties, 613 Main St. in Susanville.
Please, no dirty or broken items, box style TVs, computers, books, VHS cassettes, car seats, exercise machines, ski equipment, paints or chemicals.
The yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, Saturday, Oct. 18, Sunday, Oct. 19, Friday, Oct. 24, Saturday Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 26 at Sierra Desert Properties, 613 Main St. in Susanville.
