SHARE NOW

The City of Susanville is pleased to share an update on the restoration at Memorial Park and
ballpark. Crews have been hard at work bringing the ballpark facilities and damages occurring at
Memorial Park back to safe and public accessible conditions, steady progress is being made on
multiple fronts; crews have already completed demolition and debris removal of the grandstands,
installed temporary electrical to power the restrooms, irrigation has been restored to park and
ballpark, backstop has been repainted, and restrooms are nearly ready to reopen for public
access. Restoration efforts will continue to the concessions (snack shack)/announcer booth
building as well as the backstop netting and field lighting. This scope of work will be completed
under the continued emergency situation.
City staff has begun the process of obtaining engineering services for phase two of restoration
efforts which includes the design of the rebuild of the grandstands. These efforts will continue in
the upcoming weeks and the city will provide updates as progress is made.
The City of Susanville would like to thank Lassen Community College and the community for its
patience as this important project moves forward. Memorial Park and Memorial Park Ballpark
have long been a central part of Susanville’s community and recreation, and we look forward to
celebrating its full restoration in the future.
Updates will be provided as more information becomes available. Please visit the City’s website
