According to sources, The Grand Sierra Resort is set to host a groundbreaking ceremony on Sept. 30 at 4:30 p.m. for its $435 million arena.
The new GSR Arena, slated to open in summer 2027, will feature an 8-story parking garage, community ice rink, plaza space, and the arena itself, with Nevada Men’s Basketball beginning to play in the facility in the 2027-28 season
