Wildfire Update: Jakes Fire and Adobe Mountain Fire burning by Elko County, Nevada
Note: The Jakes Fire and MP 22 Fire have merged and are now being reported as one incident, the Jakes Fire.
Jakes Fire
72,893 acres | 32% contained | 547 personnel
Containment has increased 12% since yesterday’s report of 20%. Yesterday afternoon, the Jakes Fire and MP 22 Fire merged and will now be managed and reported as a single incident under the name Jakes Fire.
Firefighters continue mop-up efforts along the eastern edge and southeast portion of the fire near the community of Midas. On the west side, crews have established an anchor point to safely begin constructing fireline.

Adobe Mountain Fire
10,668 acres | 33% contained | 240 personnel
Containment has grown 8% since yesterday’s report of 25%. The fire remains within its current footprint. Firefighters continue mop-up operations, targeting scattered, isolated pockets of heat along the north, west, and east flanks.
