As of July 8, 2025 at 1:33 pm, the suspect has been identified. Thank you to the community and the caring people who reached for your assistance. As this investigation nears completion, this individual will now face multiple felony charges for his actions on July 5, 2025.
On July 5, 2025 at approximately 1:30 PM, the male was involved in an altercation with his female passenger at the Sierraville Store. The pair then left the store and headed north on SR-89. Just past the Sattley “Y”, the motorcycle is observed leaving the highway at high speeds. The motorcycle collided with a dirt berm and both parties were ejected. The female was rendered unconscious and left in the ditch by the male who fled the scene with the assistance of the other riders. Luckily, a Good Samaritan observed the entire incident and called 911. The female sustained major injuries and was flown to Reno.
