Goats on the Job! The City of Oroville has contracted goats.
If you’ve seen a herd of goats munching away around town lately, don’t worry, they’re not lost! These four-legged landscapers are hard at work helping us with weed abatement.
Using grazing goats is an eco-friendly, low-impact way to reduce dry vegetation that can fuel wildfires, all while reaching steep hillsides and tough terrain that machines can’t easily access. Plus, they’re pretty cute co-workers if we do say so ourselves!
