Sheriff’s Sergeant Seizes 25 Pounds of Methamphetamines in Traffic Stop –
On Thursday, December 5th, a Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Sergeant stopped a white sedan travelling northbound along I-5 for vehicle code violations. When the Sergeant contacted the driver, 28 year-old Guillermo A. Ayala and his passenger, 24 year-old Yesith Leonardo Chriez Bueno passenger, both from Los Angeles County, he discovered that neither had valid driver’s licenses and observed numerous signs of possible drug trafficking.
The Sergeant then conducted a probable cause search, promptly locating over 25 pounds of methamphetamines in the trunk compartment of the sedan. With this discovery, both men were placed under arrest and booked in the Siskiyou County jail for the transportation and possession of methamphetamines for sale.
This case is a great example of the teamwork and diligence our patrol team and K9 units demonstrate daily to keep our communities safe. We are especially proud of the dedication and vigilance demonstrated by our patrol Sergeant in removing dangerous drugs from our streets.
