Storms cause more havoc near the highway 70 closure, which has reduced access to the area since early January. A new slide has the area just ahead of the Greenville wye down to one lane. Around noon yesterday, a mud and debris slide blocked the southbound lane of SR89. Caltrans has established 24-hour traffic control between Moccasin and Indian Falls. The district says future weather and slide activity could cause this area to be completely closed. You should avoid the area and choose alternative routes if possible.
