Fuel Mix-Up at Rolling Hills Travel Center Promptly Resolved After Diesel Error

CORNING, Calif. — Management at Rolling Hills Travel Center has addressed an incident involving a fuel delivery error that took place on Monday evening. The issue arose when a shipping company mistakenly delivered diesel fuel into the unleaded fuel storage tank.

The error occurred between 7:40 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on February 17. Customers who purchased unleaded or mid-grade fuel during this time are urged to contact the Security Dispatch line at (530) 528-3529. Rolling Hills Travel Center is actively reviewing purchase records and surveillance footage to identify and reach out to affected customers.

By 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, the following corrective measures had been implemented to resolve the issue and prevent future incidents:

  • The fuel tanks were drained and thoroughly cleaned.
  • Fuel filters were replaced.
  • All fuel lines and hoses were flushed to ensure the quality of the fuel moving forward.

 

With these actions completed, Rolling Hills Travel Center has resumed normal operations, according to the casino’s statement.
