Russian drones have targeted key locations in Kharkiv, Ukraine, resulting in two deaths and numerous injuries. The attacks hit a military hospital, a shopping center, and residential buildings. The Ukrainian military condemned the assault as deliberate, particularly affecting service members receiving medical care. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that various regions faced attacks, with significant numbers of bombs, drones, and missiles launched by Russia.

Ukraine’s General Staff suggests that Russian forces are preparing for a new offensive to increase pressure on Kyiv and gain leverage in ceasefire discussions. The Ukrainian air force noted that many of the drones used in the latest attacks were intercepted or jammed.

Amid these developments, U.S. President Donald Trump criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin for undermining Zelenskyy’s credibility and suggested imposing significant tariffs and sanctions on Russia if no peace deal is reached. Trump’s remarks underscore his dissatisfaction with Putin’s comments about Ukraine’s governance. Despite this, Trump emphasized his positive relationship with Putin. Meanwhile, Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed progress in the Donetsk region, although these claims remain unverified.
