The study highlights a concerning trend in phone usage among Americans. On average, individuals check their phones 205 times a day, which equates to almost once every five minutes during waking hours. A significant 81% of people check their phones within 10 minutes of waking up, and 66% use their phones while on the toilet. Despite these habits, the number of people who feel addicted to their phones has decreased by 24% compared to 2023, with 43% acknowledging the issue. On average, Americans spend 5 hours and 1 minute on their phones each day, totaling about 2.5 months a year. A particularly alarming finding is that 27% of people use or look at their phones while driving. These statistics may prompt individuals to reconsider their phone usage habits as they approach 2025.
