Winter fun begins at the Lassen National Park as the park transforms into a winterwonderland.

The passing storm brought several inches of snow, accumulating to two feet at the Ko-Ya-Mah-Nee Visitors Center according to park officials. Due to the significant snowfall, the park service has closed Highway 89 through the Volcanic Park, but rangers say you can dust off your snowshoes and enjoy the park in its winter phase.

You can stay updated on current park conditions and alerts by visiting the National Park Services Website.
