Susanville and its surrounding areas were crippled yet again by a communications outage this morning. Stores posted signs reading cash only on their doors, banks had no ATM access, and law enforcement offices were unable to call out through the 911 system until about 11 am. Tim Watts, Frontier’s local manager has confirmed that a vehicle incident took place early this morning North of Westwood on county road A-21 that took out their fiber lines. Crews were sent out for repairs shortly after the incident occurred. Watts expected service restoration by noon, but by 11 am service began to pop back on for many. Contact your service provider if you are still without service.
