Blistery Winter Storms Return this Week

As you head back into the work week and back to school, colder temperatures and snow also returns with a series of blistery storms. Heading out this morning, winds are peaking, be sure to secure those holiday decorations and layer up. A fast-moving storm will pass through the region today, bringing a chance of snow this evening. Then you will have a break until Wednesday night when the second storm arrives. Winds will be strong, and inches of snow is expected into the weekend. Though you’ll have one more window to prepare for the snow or to travel, Friday is expected to quiet down for the day before the weekend.

If you plan to travel the passes on Saturday or Sunday, prepare for winter driving conditions, prepare your vehicle by carrying chains, and have an emergency kit in case of long delays or you get caught stuck in the storm.
