Sat, Aug 9 from 9:00am to 1:00pm
Lassen Creek Conservation Area
701-560 Richmond Road E, Susanville, CA

Lassen Land and Trails Trust is looking for volunteers! Our goal for 2025 is to re-establish a fire lane along the north and east boundary of the Conservation Area near Richmond Road and Single Tree Lane in Susanville.

Lend a hand and get practical lessons and experience. What is a good fire break? How do I feather vegetation along a trail and use my walking trails for fire protection? How do I build brush piles I can actually get to light in wet weather? We’ll work on these practical aspects of fire proofing your land. We are building fire resilience into our management efforts at the Lassen Creek Conservation Area and you can too.

All volunteers will get lunch, swag, and participate in a discussion on how to keep Susanville fire-safe. We need to build a volunteer base of 20 individuals in order to hold this event. Contact LLTT at 530-257-3252 to learn more and sign up! This work day is supported by Keep California Beautiful, Keep America Beautiful, and California Volunteers.
