The Alturas Chamber of Commerce Winterfest “Parade of Lights” is set for December 7, 2024 in Alturas. The day will kick-off Winterfest with a “Pancakes with Santa” breakfast fundraiser from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Modoc High School Social Hall. The annual festive parade will start promptly at 5:30 p.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Park on South Main Street and make its way down to the Main Street Park next door to Plumas Bank where you and your family can enjoy plenty of holiday music with Emcee and D.J. Harry Boulade, vendors, a bonfire, the lighting and blessing of our community Christmas tree, a live nativity scene performance, plus a chance for your kids to meet Santa Claus. So, bring the whole family out for an evening of holiday cheer!! You must first fill out a parade entry form and submit to the Chamber of Commerce at Ship Right in Alturas in order to enter your exhibit into the parade.
