I moved to Susanville in October 2000 with my wife of 19 years, Lisa and my three children, Jordan 17, Adam 13, and Emily 11. Through my experience coaching and playing sports in Lassen County I have met hundreds of members of our community and have had the privilege of watching the current high school players come up through the ranks of local youth sports.

I started with the Sierra Radio Network in August of 2009 and have fallen madly in love with sports broadcasting. I like to tell people this is my new hobby. My goal will always be to get as many of our local kids names and athletic accomplishments on the radio. Our kids go from young athletes to grown ups so fast, I want to get their names and their voices on the radio as much as possible, and that will always be my main goal.

That is why I started the Athlete of the Month award in 2009, so I could recognize some of these kids from elementary school through high school and give them the publicity and the credit they deserve. I will always use every piece of information that anyone sends me about any level of our local athletes from Lassen, Plumas and Sierra counties!
